Cookies
Cookie policy
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep ikan Residences working, secure, and well-tuned. You can accept all, accept essential only, or change your mind anytime via the banner.

What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and short-lived session tokens.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary (always on — cannot be disabled)
- ikan_session — your signed-in session. Required to use authenticated areas. Expires after 7 days.
- ikan_csrf — anti-CSRF token on every state-changing request. Session lifetime.
- ikan_ratelimit — anonymous identifier for IP-bucketed rate limiting. 1 hour.
- ikan_cookie_pref — remembers your cookie banner choice. 12 months.
Functional (opt-in)
- aira_conversation — keeps the Aira pill conversation continuous as you move between pages. Session lifetime.
- traveler_token — keeps the secure traveler link working without a login. Set when a traveler first opens their inbox link.
- recent_searches (localStorage) — pre-fills the search form with your last city and dates.
Analytics (opt-in)
When enabled, we use PostHog (self-hosted in EU) to count page views and feature usage in aggregate. IPs are masked. No cross-site tracking. No advertising IDs. You can opt out anytime from account settings or by clicking “Manage cookies” below.
Marketing
None. We don’t run ads on ikan Residences and we don’t share data with ad networks. We may run paid campaigns elsewhere, but those tags are not embedded in our product surface.
Manage cookies
Click “Manage cookies” in the footer to re-open the banner. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings; rejecting strictly-necessary cookies will sign you out and disable some functionality.
